This study conducts a bibliometric visualization analysis of Chinese intangible cultural heritage velvet flower research, aiming to reveal publication trends, research themes, hotspots, and future directions. Using literature from the CNKI Core Journal Database as the data source, this study employs CiteSpace and Bibliometrix to perform keyword co-occurrence, clustering, and burst term analyses. Concurrently, traditional literature review methods are applied to refine the interpretation. The findings show that domestic velvet flower research has progressed through three distinct phases: inception (1995–2011), fluctuating growth (2012–2018), and rapid development (2019–2025), with 2012 and 2019 serving as pivotal turning points. Research hotspots currently focus on cultural and creative development, skill inheritance, and digital preservation, while potential future directions include deeper application of digital technologies, innovation in cultural-tourism integration models, and interdisciplinary convergence.
